While practicing dentistry in San Diego, several colleagues from the navy and I started a dental study club. Over the years, the study club has grown. We have gained more than 100 members as the club has evolved into a philanthropic organization.
Acting as volunteer clinical dentists at the University's free clinics, the doctors and students have been able to provide dental care to thousands of patients and veterans in need. Financial assistance is always needed to provide health care to the working poor, veterans, and neighbors in need throughout the world.
Over the last seven years, we have traveled to Cambodia once, Guatemala twice and Panama three times, providing much needed dental care where opportunities and resources are limited.
